I was thrilled to get the call informing me I’m one of the five people selected to work directly with Ron Baker over the next year in his Black Swan Project.
Ron announced he would provide mentoring on “Implementing Value Pricing” to 5 attendees who met specific criteria at The Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada’s (IPBC) first annual conference held earlier this year in Vancouver, BC
From the moment I heard Ron announce this extraordinary opportunity at this year’s conference, I wanted to be a part of it. I’m deeply honored & feel privileged to be one of the chosen candidates. I’ve never been so excited about a program that I believe will help me shift my mindset from the billable hour to value pricing and take my knowledge firm to the next level.
And, I’ll be talking about my experience and sharing notes about my progress as my year in the program unfolds on the IPBC website and on my blog at www.debrahburleighaccounting.com. Be sure to get on my list and follow me on Twitter for updates.
If you are not already a member of IPBC or if you didn’t get a chance to attend the annual conference I highly recommend both. IPBC is raising the bar and elevating incomes of bookkeepers across Canada. I think the membership benefits far outweigh the cost in the form of professional recognition, educational seminars and a community committed to growth. Attending their first annual conference opened the door for me to apply to Ron Baker’s Black Swan Project and it brought an amazing group of people together for three full days of learning, inspiration and building relationships.
