With Sage Summit 2013 just around the corner, I want to share how big an event attending last year’s Summit for the first time was for me. It exceeded my expectations in so many ways.
The amazing people I met & opportunities that opened up for me have been instrumental to my business growth and success in the last 12 months.
As I described in my previous post, building meaningful business relationships is essential to feeding the success of your business.
And, at Sage Summit there are many opportunities to connect and learn with a group of remarkable people.
I deeply value the many new relationships I’ve maintained with business owners and colleagues after the summit. I love being able to share resources and best practices with like-minded people. We’ve become strong advocates for each other – referring clients and supporting one another as we grow and navigate day-to-day challenges.
“Smart business people know the value of communities.”

Why Attend Sage Summit?
Sage Summit made a profound impression on me. Attending reminded me of how powerful connecting; story telling and training are to my personal growth and business development. Here are some of the benefits and lessons I took away as a first timer last year:
Build Business Relationships:
Building and maintaining the new business relationships I created by attending Sage Summit last year helped me increase my sales by 40% from the prior year.
Doesn’t that sound like a worthwhile investment?
I was able to pay for my trip within two months of attending the summit because of the connections I created.
Develop Your Skills At The Training Sessions: There are so many course selection options available to help you expand your knowledge so you are better equipped to add more value for your clients. Sage Summit 2013 will feature nearly 500 breakout sessions, hand-on labs and roundtables.
Keep Your Edge at Expo: There is so much information available at Sage Summit on all the latest trends and technology to help you keep your edge over competitors and streamline your business. You’ll be among the first to see the new product lines scheduled for release. Plus, you can try out the different software available and speak directly to Sage’s product experts to get your burning questions answered.
Better Networking At Sage City: Sage City is a spectacular networking event at Sage Summit where industry experts, sage executives, product leaders and fellow colleagues collaborate to share ideas, solve problems and clarify what’s working for others in our industry. I was asked to be a host at one of the gatherings last year at Sage Summit. Our table had dynamic discussions that combined a lot of interaction with problem solving to co-create solutions. I took away many new ideas. Sage City is one of my favorite parts of Sage Summit, so be sure you don’t miss it and come with a list of questions you need help with.
Think Outside The Box With Guest Speakers: Sage Summit features some amazing guest speakers that inspire you to think outside the box and make something happen. Last year, one of my favorite speakers was Ron Baker who introduced me to value pricing. His perspective on pricing and packaging your services based on what your clients value vs. billing by the hour has transformed my business in the last 12 months. His talk left a profound impression on me, especially the importance of choosing your ideal clients.
Fun & Relaxation at Social Events: After a long day of training and cultivating new business relationships you need some downtime to have fun and relax. Last year we went to the Grand Ole Opry and there were many other social evenings to choose from. Make sure you are well rested before attending this Summit!
